5' 7" tall striker born in Croydon who started his career as a trainee with Wimbledon. Wade made his first team debut as a substitute in a 1-0 defeat at Coventry in Division 1 (later the Championship) on 15.10.03 and by the end of the 2003/04 he'd played 30 times (five as sub) and scored once - in a 3-0 win at Reading on 26.12.03. Wimbledon were relegated to League One and changed their name to Milton Keynes Dons for the 2004/05 season.
Wade scored 12 goals for MK Dons during 2004/05 and then got two during 2005/06 to take his overall record for the club to 14 goals from 85 outings (seven as sub).
In May 2006 he was transferred to Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday for a fee of £250,000 and Wade made his debut for the Owls as a substitute in a 0-0 draw at Preston on 5.8.06. He scored his first goal in a 2-2 draw at Wolves on 28.10.06 and on 18.11.06 Wade was sent off 16 minutes into a 3-1 defeat at Coventry. He finished 2006/07 having scored twice from 22 appearances for Wednesday.
Wade went on to score five times in 32 outings for the Owls during 2007/08 and then made 20 appearances during the 2008/09 campaign but only scored once before being loaned to Blackpool in March 2009.
On 14.3.09 Wade got the only goal of the game on his debut as Blackpool won 1-0 at Barnsley and he made four more appearances (one as sub) without scoring again before the end of the season.
At the end of 2008/09 Wade was released by Sheffield Wednesday and in August 2009 he joined League Two club Charlton on a non-contract basis. He came on as a substitute in a 1-0 defeat at Hereford in the League Cup on 11.8.09 but it was Wade's only appearance and he was released soon afterwards.
Before the end of August 2009 he was signed by Chesterfield and Wade made his debut as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Morecambe in League Two on 29.8.09. He made his full debut on 1.9.09 and scored twice as Chesterfield won 5-1 at Burton in a Football League Trophy tie. By the end of the 2009/10 campaign Wade had scored six times in 29 appearances (three as sub) but Chesterfield then let him go.
In July 2010 he linked up with League Two club Aldershot and Wade made his first appearance as a substitute in a 0-0 draw at Accrington on 7.8.10. He got his first goal for the Shots in a 2-2 draw at Hereford on 2.11.10, scoring a late equaliser after coming off the bench, and on 23.11.10 Wade got both goals in a 2-1 win at Burton. Having scored seven times in 35 outings (12 as sub) Wade was released by Aldershot at the end of the 2010/11 season.
In the summer of 2011 he dropped into non-league football and joined Isthmian League Premier Division outfit Lewes. Wade scored twice for the Rooks in a 3-0 friendly win over Crawley Down on 10.8.11 but only played twice in the opening weeks of the 2011/12 campaign before leaving the club.
At the start of September 2011 Wade signed for Tooting & Mitcham and he scored twice from five Isthmian League Premier Division appearances and also got a goal in the Isthmian League Cup before leaving the club at the end of November 2011.
After a few months out of senior football Wade signed for Margate in March 2012 and made his first appearance in a 0-0 draw against Leatherhead in the Isthmian League Premier Division at Hartsdown Park on 10.3.12. The Thanet Times said his signing was "an exciting prospect" but felt that Wade "had a quiet debut". The paper also noted "he looked quick and his movement must be pretty decent if he's had a career in the Football League" but added "there's a fair chance he wouldn't have minded the ball on the deck but the poor bloke suffered along with everybody else as a stream of long balls came to nothing".
Wade also started Margate's next game - a 1-0 home win over Harrow on 13.3.12 - and after that match manager Chris Kinnear told the Isle of Thanet Gazette "He was scoring for (Sheffield) Wednesday against Wolves at Molineux not so long ago and he's still only 28 now. It's not like he's 34. We'll never replace Kwesi (Appiah) but Wade is a good lad and he likes our team spirit so we'll see how he goes. I think he lost his way a bit in the league. He wants to play and I can tell you now he's not here for the money."
Wade played twice more without scoring and shortly after a 3-0 defeat at AFC Hornchurch on 27.3.12 he was released.
He didn't play elsewhere during the remainder of the 2011/12 campaign but in the summer of 2012 Wade joined Kingstonian and told the Surrey Comet "I have moved around quite a bit to be honest and I really only played for Tooting because it is my local club and close to where I live. Last year was fairly terrible there and a lot of stuff was going on. I only played about eight or nine games, which wasn't ideal, but it was convenient. I haven't really played for a year and need to get my fitness sorted, but hopefully it will work out."
Wade made his debut for Kingstonian in a 1-1 draw at East Thurrock in the Isthmian League Premier Division on 18.8.12 and went on to score six times from 30 league appearances (12 as sub), he also scored four goals in cup ties and was sent off twice.
