Bromley-born player who represented Kent as a schoolboy and then had two seasons at Charlton where he played for their Colts side.
On 22.10.66 Trevor played at full-back for Margate Reserves in a 3-0 win over Ramsgate Reserves at Hartsdown Park but it was his only appearance as he lived in London and the travel was too much for him. He then joined Erith & Belvedere.
In 1968 Trevor moved on to Cray and after leaving them during 1971/72 he had a short spell with Wembley before moving to Tooting & Mitcham in January 1972. He went on to make a club record 512 appearances there between 1971/72 and 1982/83 and scored 37 goals. During 1975/76 he was part of the side that reached the FA Cup 4th Round and during 1979/80 Trevor played for an FA X1.
He joined Bromley for the start of the 1983/84 campaign but then gave up football for a while to concentrate on bobsleighing. Trevor competed in the Four Man Championships and qualified for the World Cup Finals in Italy. During 1984/85 he became Bromley's player-assistant manager and in November 1985 he became manager there in his own right, still playing when required up to and including 1987/88.
After a successful spell in charge at Bromley Trevor became Margate's manager in the summer of 1989. A player shortage meant that he had to name himself as a substitute for a 0-0 draw at Sheppey on 4.11.89 but he wasn't needed. On 26.12.89 Trevor was forced to name himself as a sub once again as Margate entertained Canterbury at Hartsdown and when Lee Carter had to come off due to injury at half-time Trevor took his place at right-back for the whole of the second period. The Isle of Thanet Gazette said that "his presence on the park certainly enlivened Margate" and the game finished 1-1. Trevor didn't need to play again and in March 1990 he resigned as Margate's boss.
In the summer of 1991 he returned to management with Tooting and guided them to a win over Margate in the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Cup at the start of 1991/92. Trevor was sacked by Tooting early in 1996.
During his time with Margate Trevor worked as PE teacher in South London and lived in Blackheath. In later years he became assistant head teacher of Malory School in Bromley and by 2008 he was working as a taxi driver.
