Hard-working midfielder born in Sierra Leone who moved to the UK as a 16 year-old during the 2003/04 season and joined Essex Intermediate League club Ryan.

Despite his tender years Tamba played for Ryan's first team and his performances prompted local Isthmian League clubs Leyton and Waltham Forest to watch him whilst several Essex Senior League sides showed a keen interest. Tamba won Ryan's 'Players' Player of the Year' and 'Manager's Player of the Year' awards for 2003/04 and club official Steven Haydon later said "He showed some great natural ability and was a very willing player who did whatever the staff told him." He added "Myself and the rest of the staff were very sorry to see him leave. Almost all of our opposition commented on Tamba."

In the summer of 2004 Tamba signed for Margate ahead of the club's first season in the Conference South but he didn't make his debut until 2.10.04 when he came on as a half-time substitute in a 2-1 win over Waltham Forest in an FA Cup tie played at Margate's temporary home in Ashford. Tamba replaced the injured Greg Oates and did well in the unfamiliar position of right wing-back.

His next outing as a substitute came in a 2-0 defeat at Sutton on 26.10.04 and in mid-November 2004 Tamba joined League Two club Wycombe on trial. Margate manager Chris Kinnear told the Isle of Thanet Gazette "I don't know if he'll go there permanently - we'll have to wait and see."

On 24.11.04 Tamba was part of the Wycombe Under-18's side that beat visitors Dover 4-1 in the FA Youth Cup but towards the end of 2004 he briefly returned to Margate.

Tamba came on in a 1-0 defeat at Welling on 1.1.05 but shortly afterwards he signed a contract with Wycombe up to the end of the 2004/05 season and left Margate having played just three times as a substitute.

He played in Wycombe's youth team for the remainder of the campaign but at the end of 2004/05 Tamba was released.

In the summer of 2005 he joined Championship club Queens Park Rangers and Tamba played 18 times for the R's Under-18's during the 2005/06 season. He also had three outings in the reserves, two of them as a substitute, but QPR released him at the end of the campaign.

During the early weeks of the 2006/07 season Tamba had a trial with MK Dons where he played in the reserves but by October 2006 he'd linked up with Haringey of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.

In December 2006 Tamba joined Isthmian League Premier Division club Walton & Hersham and made eight league appearances there (six as sub) before moving on to Dagenham & Redbridge in March 2007. He played for the Daggers' reserves for the remainder of the 2006/07 campaign.

Tamba signed for Southern League outfit Windsor & Eton ahead of the 2007/08 season and made 13 appearances for them (four as sub) without scoring before joining Isthmian League Division 1 North side Waltham Forest in February 2008.

He went on to make a total of 14 league appearances (three as sub) for the Stags during the remainder of 2007/08 and Tamba then had a trial with Scottish League Onest Division club Greenock Morton in the summer of 2008. He returned to Waltham Forest in time for the start of the 2008/09 campaign made four league appearances before signing for Ware in December 2008.

Tamba joined the Hertfordshire club at the same time as former Margate players Hasim Deen and Osman Sesay and became Ware's captain. Tamba made 20 appearances (two as sub) in the Isthmian League Division 1 North before the end of 2008/09.

After featuring in a friendly for Hampton & Richmond Borough in the summer of 2009 Tamba ended up starting the 2009/10 season with Ware but he only made a handful of appearances before leaving the club and temporarily dropping out of senior football.

In the summer of 2010 he joined Isthmian League Division 1 South club Dulwich and Tamba played for the club's reserves until the start of 2011 when he signed for Kent League side Fisher.

Tamba left Fisher at the end of the 2010/11 campaign and played in pre-season games for his former club Dulwich before linking up with South Midlands League Premier Division outfit Biggleswade before the start of the 2011/12 campaign proper.

In the summer of 2012 Tamba signed for Kent Football United of the Kent Invicta League.
