Locally-born striker who worked his way up through Margate's junior ranks. Scott played for the club's Under-11's during the 1993/94 season and progressed through to the Under-16's before breaking his ankle during 1998/99, shortly after he'd made his first appearances in the reserves.

He later played local amateur football for 180 Athletic and Lesters where he spent the 2005/06 campaign.

In May 2006 Scott paid to play in a charity match at Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium as he was a life-long supporter of the club and in the summer of 2006 he rejoined Margate.

Scott scored five goals in his first few games for the reserves during the early part of the 2006/07 season and on 14.10.06 he made his senior debut as a substitute in a 2-1 defeat against Potters Bar in an FA Cup tie at Hartsdown Park. Scott also featured as a sub in a 3-1 win at Wivenhoe in the FA Trophy on 21.10.06 but that was his last first team appearance and at the end of October 2006 he left the club.

After a spell back in local football Scott signed for Ramsgate in May 2007 and the Rams' assistant manager Danny Ward told the Isle of Thanet Gazette "We've always tried to get the best local players and when you speak to anyone in Sunday League football Scott's name always comes up. He's the next one they expect big things from. He's big and strong and wants to give it a go here. If we're able to do with him what we've done with everyone else and move him up a couple of levels he's got a real chance."

Unfortunately Scott struggled with injuries during the 2007/08 campaign and only made three Isthmian League Premier Division appearances (one as sub) for the Rams without scoring before being released during the season.

In the summer of 2008 he rejoined Ramsgate but didn't feature in the first team and Scott ended up spending most of the first half of the 2008/09 campaign playing in local football.

In January 2009 he signed for Kent League club Deal and Scott spent the remainder of the season there.

He was offered the chance of training with Ramsgate again in the summer of 2009 but Scott opted to stay with Deal. He left the club before the end of the 2009/10 campaign and dropped back into local football.

During 2010/11 Scott played for Broadstairs in the Kent County League and he then linked up with Canterbury in the summer of 2011.

He joined City ahead of their first season back in the Kent League but hardly featured during 2011/12 before dropping back into the Thanet Sunday Football League before the end of 2011.

Scott was still playing locally during the 2013/14 campaign.

His brother Kyle often played alongside him in Sunday football.
