Midfielder who joined Margate on loan from Luton in April 1966.
Ray made his debut in a 2-1 defeat at Nuneaton on 18.4.66 and also played as Margate lost 1-0 at home to Cambridge City on 7.5.66 before returning to Luton at the end of the 1965/66 season.
After being released by Luton Ray had a stint with Vauxhall Motors before joining Spartan League outfit Tring Town. His spell there included the 1968/69 season and Ray played for the Spartan League's representative side whilst with the club.
