Striker who had a spell with Dover before moving on to Snowdown during the 1955/56 season.
Ray then joined Margate from Snowdown in the summer of 1956 but only made one first team appearance. He played in a Kent League Cup tie against Tunbridge Wells at Hartsdown Park on 23.08.56 that Margate won 4-2.
He spent the rest of his time at Hartsdown Park in the reserves and in November 1956 Ray was released and joined Betteshanger. He'd scored eight goals in the reserves before his move and was their leading scorer at the time.
