Burly 6' 2" tall player born in Wales who started his career with Crystal Palace before joining Tunbridge Wells Rangers in the summer of 1966. Peter played as a centre-back at that time.
At the end of the 1966/67 season he moved to Bedford on trial and Peter was still with the club at the start of the 1967/68 campaign.
In September 1967 he left Bedford for Hastings and began playing as a striker. Peter was sent off in a 7-1 defeat at Margate on 29.1.68. Despite being Hastings' leading scorer his contract was cancelled in March 1968 and Peter then joined Margate on a short-term deal.
He made his debut in a 4-0 defeat at King's Lynn in the Southern League on 30.3.68 and Peter went on to score 12 times in only 15 appearances (two as a substitute) before the end of the 1967/68 campaign. On 13.4.68 he featured as a sub in the 2nd Leg of the Southern League Cup Final at Ramsgate which finished 0-0.
Peter's impressive goal tally included doubles in a 6-0 win at Sheppey on 18.4.68, a 3-2 win at Canterbury on 24.4.68 and a 5-1 win at his old club Hastings on 11.5.68 but at the end of the season he was released.
Peter joined Dover for the 1968/69 campaign and scored 13 goals during the season, including two in a 4-4 draw with Margate on 26.12.68.
He joined Folkestone for the start of 1969/70 and scored five goals in 30 appearances there before leaving the club at the end of the season.
Peter joined Crawley in the summer of 1970.
He later had a spell with Worthing which included the 1977/78 campaign.
