Tall keeper who became Margate's fourth custodian of the 1947/48 season when he made his debut on 18.10.47 in a 3-1 Kent League win over Betteshanger at Hartsdown. Peter performed quite well but a week later he had something of a nightmare as Margate lost 3-0 at Ramsgate. It proved to be his last game for the club and player-manager Charlie Walker clearly wasn't impressed. He told the local press that regular keeper Doug Read, who was recovering from a dislocated shoulder, would play the following Saturday "even if he has one arm in a sling."
Peter was in the army during his brief spell with Margate and was based at Lydden.
