Season of first appearance: 1980/81

Diminutive local player who joined Margate's reserves for the 1980/81 season and made his debut for the first team as a substitute in a Southern League game away to Basingstoke on 13.12.80. Paul then made his full debut in a 3-2 win at Andover on 25.4.81 - it was his only other appearance during the campaign.
During the 1981/82 season Paul made a further 14 appearances for Thanet United, five of them as a substitute. At that time he became widely known as Paul 'Kenny' Meade. He asked for the 'Kenny' to be added as he was a big fan of Kenny Dalglish but that caused some confusion. He was sometimes listed in programmes and reports as just Kenny and for a while some supporters thought that Paul had a twin brother. In between his sporadic appearances for the first team Paul continued to play regularly for the reserves and Thanet finished the campaign at the foot of the Southern League Southern Division.
He stayed with United for the 1982/83 season and Paul made six more first team appearances during the campaign (three of them as a substitute) which proved to be his last for the senior side.
However Paul carried on playing for United's reserves during the 1983/84 season.
Paul later spent several seasons with Ramsgate, appearing for them during the 1985/86, 1986/87 and 1987/88 campaigns. However he was still mainly a reserve team player at Southwood.
In the summer of 1988 he became the Rams reserve team's assistant manager and still turned out for them on a regular basis during the 1988/89 season.
Early in the 2013/14 campaign Paul became manager of one of Ramsgate's Under-18's teams and at that time he was living in Margate.
