Defender who began his career with Gillingham and became a regular in their reserves during the 1975/76 season, winning the 'Young Player of the Year' award for the Gills.
In the summer of 1976 Paul joined Margate and made his debut on 24.8.76 when he came on as a substitute in a 2-0 defeat at Hastings. However he was hampered by an ankle injury and only played two more games before being released.
In November 1976 Paul joined Tonbridge and impressed enough to earn a contract.
Paul later played for Faversham and was with them during the 1978/79 campaign.
