Burly 5' 11" tall defender born in the town of May Pen in the Clarendon area of Jamaica who played for his country at youth level.

Pat moved to England in 1997 but later returned to Jamaica and spent six months there in an attempt to make the national squad for the 1999 Under-17's World Cup in New Zealand. In the end he wasn't selected.

Pat's first senior club in England was Hendon and he made his first team debut for the Isthmian League Premier Division club in October 2000. He went on to make a total of six appearances before the end of the 2000/01 campaign. Pat also made a handful of senior appearances for Hendon during the 2001/02 and 2002/03 seasons before joining Boreham Wood in October 2002.

He featured in 11 league games for Boreham Wood before the end of the 2002/03 campaign as they were relegated from the Isthmian League Premier Division.

In the summer of 2003 Pat had a trial at Bristol Rovers, appearing in friendlies for them, but in August 2003 he signed for Conference club Farnborough.

He was sent off twice in only eight outings for Farnborough - in Conference home games against Forest Green and Hereford - and in December 2003 Pat was loaned to Isthmian League Premier Division club Billericay.

His move was soon made permanent and Pat made 21 league appearances in what remained of the 2003/04 campaign. His team-mates included future Margate players Robin Trott and Danny Hockton.

During 2004/05 Pat made 38 league appearances (two as sub) for Ricay and scored his first goal for the club in a 3-1 win at Chelmsford on 28.3.05. He won the 'Supporters Player of the Year' award for the season and was also chosen in an Isthmian League X1 for a representative game. Pat then scored once from 26 league outings for Billericay during 2005/06.

On 22.7.06 he played for Margate in a 5-2 friendly win over Fisher at Hartsdown Park and by then Pat's old Billericay team-mate Robin Trott was Margate's player-manager. After the Fisher match Trott told the Thanet Times "He's a decent player. When he was first at Billericay he wasn't all that. I played next to him and made him the player he is and he knows that. He's talking to a couple of clubs but I'd like to get him on board." Trott also told the Thanet Extra newspaper that Pat was "a tough defender with a great attitude."

He ended up joining full-time Conference outfit Crawley for the start of the 2006/07 campaign as a non-contract player but Pat didn't feature at all in the Sussex club's first team during the opening weeks of the season and on 15.9.06 he registered with Margate.

On 16.9.06 Pat made his first appearance at centre-back as Margate drew 0-0 with Fleet at Hartsdown Park and the Thanet Times said he "had a decent debut". Two days later he surprisingly made his debut for Crawley as they beat Oxford 1-0 in a Conference game shown live on Sky Sports and Pat was chosen as man-of-the-match. He hadn't signed a contract with Margate and Robin Trott only found out that Pat was playing for Crawley when his assistant Mike Flanagan phoned him as he was watching the game on television. Trott told the Isle of Thanet Gazette that he blamed Pat's agent, rather than Pat himself, for the situation and said "It was a total bombshell when I found out he was playing for them."

Trott explained the events surrounding Pat signing for Margate and then playing for Crawley by saying "His agent came to me and said if our offer was still on the table they'd take it. We rushed through his registration before 12 o'clock last Friday so he could play against Fleet. We spoke after the game, everything was cushty and we came up with an offer. At half four on Monday he told me Crawley had been on the phone loads of times. I told him it was history, that he was signing for me and to get his head right for the cup replay. He calls me 'Big Man' and he said 'OK Big Man', I'll see you on the coach on Tuesday and we'll have a chat. Next thing I know I get a call saying he's playing for Crawley."

Pat went on to make eight more first team appearances for Crawley, mostly as a substitute, before leaving the club by mutual consent at the start of November 2006.

Shortly afterwards he played in a trial match for Wycombe's reserves before rejoining Margate in mid-November 2006. Pat returned on a match-to-match basis and Robin Trott told the Thanet Times "I wondered how the boys would take it after what happened last time and I think there were a few saying 'Blimey, how long's he gonna stay this time'. That dies down, though, the same as everything does, and there was no animosity towards Pat. It's ideal bringing him in because he's a decent player."

Pat made the first appearance of his second spell with the club in a 4-1 home win over Harrow in the Isthmian League Premier Division on 18.11.06 and from then on he was a regular in the heart of Margate's defence for the next few months. After a 4-1 win over Hendon at Hartsdown Park on 16.12.06 there were rumours of Pat moving on during the January 2007 transfer window but Robin Trott told the Thanet Times "I want him down here, I can't do without him really. He's filled a big hole and shored up the defence." Pat didn't go elsewhere and after a run of ten appearances from 11 games he missed two matches with a hamstring problem following a 3-2 defeat at Hampton & Richmond on 27.1.07.

He returned to action in a 2-1 defeat at Carshalton on 17.2.07 and the Thanet Times said Pat was "superb" in a 0-0 draw at AFC Wimbledon on 3.3.07. On 7.4.07 he was sent off towards the end of a 2-2 draw against Slough at Windsor & Eton after picking up two yellow cards and Pat then played twice more but went off with a groin injury after 28 minutes of a 3-1 win at Chelmsford on 14.4.07. Injury and suspension ruled him out of the last two games of the 2006/07 campaign and Pat ended the season having made 23 appearances without scoring.

In the summer of 2007 he signed a contract with Conference North newcomers Boston who'd just been demoted from the Football League but Pat was injured within days of putting pen to paper and his contract was torn up as manager Tommy Taylor, a former Margate boss, only wanted a small squad and didn't wish to start the new campaign with an injured player.

At the start of December 2007 Robin Trott told the Isle of Thanet Gazette he'd been in touch with Pat about a possible return to Margate and said "I spoke to Pat and said to come down for a chat but he's had a bit of bad luck with a ruptured groin at Boston so he hasn't played at all this season. He's massive at the moment - you can imagine how unfit he is having not played - but there might be something later on. You've got to have irons in the fire."

Pat ended up missing the whole of the 2007/08 season but on 29.7.08 he played for Margate in a friendly against Erith & Belvedere at Welling's Park View Road. He went off at half-time and although it was later reported that he'd signed for Margate Pat didn't play again for the club.

In September 2008 he joined Conference club Eastbourne Borough on a month-to-month deal but Pat was released by the Sussex outfit in October 2008 having scored when playing up front in his only appearance - a 3-2 win over Fisher at Dulwich in the Setanta Shield on 30.9.08.

Pat signed for Isthmian League Division 1 South club Godalming in November 2008 but didn't play in a competitive game before moving on to Conference South outfit Maidenhead a couple of weeks later.

In the early part of 2009 Pat made a one-off appearance for Jamaican Premier League club Village United before returning to the UK to rejoin Maidenhead.

At the start of the 2009/10 season Maidenhead loaned him to Southern League Division 1 Midlands outfit Aylesbury under a dual-registration agreement and Pat made his debut for the Ducks in a in 1-0 defeat at Burnham on 25.8.09. He then made some appearances for Maidenhead before featuring twice more for Aylesbury in December 2009.

During January and February 2010 Pat played four more times for Aylesbury and his last outing for them was in a 5-2 defeat at Sudbury on 6.2.10. He spent the rest of 2009/10 back at Maidenhead before leaving the club at the end of the season and dropping out of senior football.

After four-and-a-half years out of the game Pat made a comeback in the summer of 2014 when he joined his old club Billericay on trial. He was still only 32 and his younger brother Ricky, a powerfully-built forward, was in the Blues' squad at the time. Ricky had previously had spells at the likes of Leicester and Queens Park Rangers.

Billericay's manager Craig Edwards spoke to the Brentwood Gazette about Pat and said "I'm amazed at how quickly he's got back into it. We did a session that I reckon would kill most boys but he got through it. He's a big strong man but he'd put on a bit of weight and I said he'd have to get himself fit. When I saw him again I couldn't believe it was the same guy. He's been training ever so hard, going to the gym every day and he's been doing it with Ricky and he's come back the fittest since he's been at the club. They're both in great shape."

Pat's cousin Aldwyn was a talented middle-distance runner who represented Jamaica at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
