Thanet-born player who started his career at Ramsgate as a youth. Nick spent two seasons there and played for the Rams' reserves during 1987/88 aged 15. He then joined Millwall after leaving school.
Nick spent two seasons at Millwall playing in their youth and reserve sides before being released at the end of the 1989/90 campaign.
In the summer of 1990 he played in some friendlies for Dover, including one at Margate, but finished the pre-season fixtures in a Margate shirt. Nick scored twice in a 5-2 win over Deal on 9.8.90 and then signed on for the 1990/91 campaign.
In August 1990 Nick broke an ankle bone during his first appearance for Margate's reserves and the injury kept him out for almost two months. He made his first team debut on 27.10.90 when he came on as a substitute during a 1-0 defeat at Baldock. Nick didn't feature in the senior side again until 22.12.90 when he came on as a sub in a 2-1 home defeat against Yate and he then made one more sub appearance in a 1-1 draw with Hastings at Hartsdown on 1.1.91. In March 1991 Nick left the club to join Canterbury having scored four goals in 11 reserve team games in addition to his three substitute appearances for the first team.
In the July 1991 Nick returned to Margate and featured in most of the club's pre-season friendlies before rejoining Ramsgate for the 1991/92 campaign proper. He left the Rams to go to the USA in the summer of 1992.
He later played for Bromley Green in the Kent County League.
Nick worked as an import / export clerk during his time at Margate.
In 2010 he was living in Broadstairs.
