Margate-born midfielder who began his career with Folkestone & Shepway, first appearing for them during the 1978/79 season. Micky then had a spell at Hythe during the 1981/82 campaign but returned to Folkestone, by then known as Folkestone Town, before the end of that season.
In February 1984 he joined Thanet United on a month's loan and made his debut in a 2-1 win over Dunstable at Hartsdown on 11.2.84. Micky then went on to make a real impact in the weeks that followed. The Thanet Times said that he was "outstanding" in a 4-1 defeat at Tonbridge on 25.2.84, praising his "incisive tackling" and "shrewd distribution". On 3.3.84 Micky scored twice in a 3-3 draw at Basingstoke and then repeated the feat in a 4-3 win at Erith & Belvedere on 10.3.84 to cap another outstanding display. It was his final game for United as he was then recalled by Folkestone. Micky had scored four goals in only six appearances and Thanet manager John Wickens understandably said "I was sorry to see him go."
In the summer of 1985 Micky joined Thanet on a permanent basis although Folkestone had wanted him to stay. For the first month or so of the 1984/85 season he was a regular in the United side, playing in midfield or as a winger, but Micky then fell out of favour and often found himself on the substitutes bench. On 20.11.84 he scored with a shot from the edge of the penalty area in a 1-1 draw at Chatham but it was Micky's last goal for the club. He left United in December 1984 having scored twice in 17 appearances (five as sub).
Micky returned to Folkestone for the 1985/86 season and then moved to Canterbury where he spent the 1986/87 campaign. He left City in November 1987 and joined Herne Bay but went back to Canterbury in April 1988. Micky made a total of 42 Southern League appearances (three as sub) for City and scored once before leaving the club again in the summer of 1988.
Micky rejoined Folkestone once more for the 1988/89 season and went on to have a lengthy spell with the club, broken only by a very brief stint at Whitstable during 1991/92. He also played a few games for Kent County League side White Lion during the 1992/93 season.
Micky became Folkestone's coach during 1993/94 and then player-assistant manager for the 1994/95 campaign. In March 1996 Micky became Folkestone's manager but in the summer of that year he was replaced by Darren Hare.
Micky then joined Hythe United and became the club's player-manager for the 1996/97 season. He had to play a game in goal on 17.1.98 as Hythe lost 6-2 at Sheppey and Micky stayed with the club for the 1998/99 campaign too, making a handful of appearances.
During the 2001/02 season Micky was involved with youth football at Folkestone and at the end of 2001 he also took over the running of the 'Stripes Club' bar at Cheriton Road.
By 2003/04 Micky was reserve team manager and towards the end of that season he made a few appearances in the second string, including two as an emergency goalkeeper when regular keeper Paul Egan was called up for Folkestone's first team. Micky was also the club's Youth Development Officer at the time.
During the 2005/06 season Micky was managing Folkestone's reserves and his son Leon was in Invicta's youth team.
Micky was Invicta's assistant manager during 2008/09 and on 25.10.08 he made a cameo appearance for the first team as a 90th minute substitute in a 2-0 home win over Corinthian Casuals in the Ryman Premier League. He was 46 at the time.
Micky was still assisting manager Neil Cugley during the 2011/12 campaign and on 25.2.12 he acted as linesman for the last ten minutes of Invicta's 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Ramsgate in the Isthmian League Division 1 South.
On 2.4.12 Folkestone played Gillingham in a testimonial game for Micky and Cugley said "Many people don't realise how much Mick has done and continues to do for this club."
In August 2013 Micky turned out for a Folkestone Legends team in a charity match to celebrate former Thanet player John Lineham's 50th birthday and a host of other former Margate / Thanet players were also involved in the game.
