Diminutive Thanet-born player who joined Margate for the 1974/75 season and played exclusively for the reserves during the campaign.
Kevin stayed with the club for the 1975/76 season and was a regular in the reserves once more. He also played twice for the first team, making his debut aged 16 in a Kent Floodlight Trophy tie against Dover at Hartsdown on 24.2.76 that Margate won 4-0. Kevin was described as being "sprightly" by the local press.
At the start of the 1976/77 season Kevin made four further first team appearances (two as sub) and one of them was his Southern League debut - as a substitute in a 2-0 defeat at home to Wealdstone on 28.8.76. The Thanet Times report for the game said that Kevin found "the pace and physical contact rather too much for him" and in December 1976 he moved to Ramsgate.
He became a first team regular in the Rams' Kent League side and also spent the 1977/78 season with them. Kevin went on to have several further spells at Southwood and was with the Rams during the 1983/84, 1984/85 and 1985/86 seasons.
His son Jamie played for Ramsgate Reserves during the 2003/04 season.
