5' 10" tall keeper who began his career at Dover, his hometown club, as a 17 year-old during the 1975/76 season. Kevin then enjoyed a lengthy run in the first team during the 1976/77 campaign, taking over from future Margate assistant manager Kevin Raine. He also played as an outfield player in the youth team during the season, at the time their keeper was future Charlton star Bob Bolder.

Kevin stayed at Crabble for several more seasons and began the 1980/81 campaign as Dover's back-up keeper. At that time he was said to be attracting attention from Football League clubs but in September 1980 he moved to Ramsgate.

Kevin's spell at Southwood turned out to be eventful. He failed to turn up for the Rams' game with Chatham on 27.9.80, a situation described as "inexplicable" by the Thanet Times, and on 25.10.80 he was sent off for dissent in a game with Crockenhill. Kevin then walked out on the club, along with almost all the Rams' first team squad, as a protest at the sacking of manager Graham Sawyer (a former Margate player). He made a brief return to Southwood before joining Margate in November 1980.

Kevin made his debut for the club in a 3-2 win over Aylesbury at Hartsdown on 22.11.80 and his agile display led to him becoming Margate's first-choice keeper. On 27.12.80 Kevin had a great game during a 4-2 win at Ashford and the Thanet Times said that he made "a series of smart saves". However on 7.2.81 he failed to show up for the home game with Bognor Regis and as a result Kevin was sacked by the club. His unexplained absence had forced outfield player Mark Harrop to play the whole game in goal and Kevin had made 16 appearances before his sudden departure.

He later played for Crockenhill in the Kent League, featuring mainly as an outfield player for them, and went on to play as a midfielder for Snowdown. Kevin was with them during the 1986/87 season.

During the 1988/89 and 1989/90 campaigns Kevin played as an outfield player for Dover's reserves. He then played for Deal during 1990/91.
