Keeper born in Lambeth, London who was in Margate's Under-14's side during the 2008/09 season. In the summer of 2009 Josh had a two day intensive training course with West Ham's goalkeeping coach and in August 2009 Margate Under-15's manager Kevin Powell told the Thanet Times "The coach said he had very good hands but highlighted some areas for Josh to work on."
As well as playing for Margate's Under-15's during 2009/10 Josh featured in the Thanet District Schools' side but in the summer of 2010 he moved to Ramsgate.
He was part of the Rams' Under-16's team that won the Kent League Under-16's South title for 2010/11 and Josh was chosen as the side's 'Players' Player of the Year'.
He also started the 2011/12 campaign with Ramsgate and after featuring in their Under-18's and reserve teams Josh returned to Margate before the end of the season and played regularly in the reserves.
He featured in several of Margate's first team friendlies ahead of the 2012/13 campaign and Josh was an unused substitute six times during the opening weeks of the season proper. On 9.10.12 he made his senior debut as a replacement for the injured Craig Holloway as Margate took on Concord Rangers in an Isthmian League Premier Division game at Hartsdown Park and Josh was only 17 at the time. The visitors won 2-0. His next appearance was in a 4-0 home defeat against Metropolitan Police in the Isthmian League Cup on 16.10.12 and Josh then returned to the reserves for a lengthy spell.
On 6.4.13 Josh was back in first team action as he took over in goal after Craig Holloway was sent off 64 minutes into a match at Carshalton and his first task was to face a penalty which was scored. The home side eventually won 4-0. Josh then played in a 2-2 draw at Bury on 20.4.13 when Holloway was suspended and kept his place as Margate lost 4-2 to visitors Ebbsfleet in the Kent Senior Cup on 23.4.13. That was his last senior outing and Josh finished the campaign having made five appearances (one as sub). He also won Margate's 'Young Player of the Year' award for the season.
In July 2013 he featured in one of Margate's friendlies, playing the second half of a 5-2 win at Hythe on 13.7.13, but on 20.7.13 Josh turned out for Kent League outfit Deal as they drew 2-2 with visitors Ramsgate in a friendly and joined the club for the 2013/14 campaign.
