Local player who attended The Charles Dickens School in Broadstairs and played in their Under-15's side that reached Kent Schools Under-15 Cup Final during the 2006/07 campaign. Joe also featured in Dover's Under-15's team during the season.
He captained Dover Under-16's during 2007/08 and then joined Ramsgate in the summer of 2008.
Joe played for the Rams' reserves during 2008/09 and stayed with the club for the start of the 2009/10 campaign too. After he'd featured as a sub in some of Ramsgate's pre-season games in the summer of 2009 manager Jimmy Ward told the Isle of Thanet Gazette "He's come on in our last three friendlies and done nothing but impress. Likes to beat a man." Joe went on to make one substitute appearance for the Rams in the Isthmian League Division 1 South and then joined Margate later in the 2009/10 season.
Joe played regularly for Margate's reserves and on 30.3.10 he made a one-off appearance for the first team when he wore the number seven shirt in a 2-0 defeat at Welling in the Kent Senior Cup.
He dropped into local football for the 2010/11 campaign and Joe was still playing in the Thanet Sunday Football League during 2013/14.
