Striker who joined Thanet United from Deal early in the 1981/82 season. Jim made his debut in a 2-1 defeat against Tonbridge at Hartsdown on 29.8.81. After failing to score in his first five appearances for United, Jim was moved into midfield for two games but then returned to the forward line. He finally broke his scoring duck when he found the net in a 4-1 defeat at Poole on 3.10.81. It was Jim's only goal for the club and he departed in December 1981 having made 16 appearances.
