Nomadic keeper who was born in the Barking & Dagenham district of Essex and started out as youth with Norwich where he played for the Under-13's during the 1997/98 season.
Jake later had a spell on Brentford's books and he started the 2003/04 campaign there before joining Chalfont St.Peter midway through the season.
Jake made 22 Isthmian League Division 2 appearances for Chalfont before the end of 2003/04 and then moved on to Hornchurch of the Conference South in July 2004.
He signed a one-year contract with the Urchins and their goalkeeping coach Jim Stannard had previously worked with Jake during his spell with Brentford.
In August 2004 Hornchurch loaned Jake to Isthmian League Premier Division outfit Slough and he made his debut for them in a 3-1 defeat at Dover on 14.8.04. Jake went on to make 17 appearances in all competitions before going back to Hornchurch in November 2004.
When a financial crisis engulfed Hornchurch Jake moved on to Redbridge in January 2005 and he played twice for them before the end of the 2004/05 season. He was sent off in one of those appearances. Jake also started 2005/06 with Redbridge but only featured once in the first team before joining Eastern Counties league club Long Melford early in September 2005.
Around the same time Jake also had a brief stint with Cambridge City and before the end of September 2005 he moved on to Chelmsford.
He followed a few weeks at Chelmsford with a short spell at Crawley and towards the end of 2005 Jake rejoined Long Melford.
In February 2006 he signed for Mildenhall and Jake played regularly for them in the Eastern Counties League Premier Division during the remainder of the 2005/06 campaign.
Early in July 2006 he featured in friendlies for Fisher before linking up with Haverhill towards the end of the month. Jake played once for the Eastern Counties League outfit and then had a spell with AFC Hornchurch which lasted until December 2006 when he joined Ashford.
Jake went on to make 27 Isthmian League Division 1 South appearances for the Nuts & Bolts during 2006/07 and then featured seven times in league games early in the 2007/08 season before leaving the club to join Great Wakering.
After making one Isthmian League Division 1 North appearance for Great Wakering Jake was on the move again in December 2007 and joined Arlesey.
He made 15 Division 1 North appearances there before linking up with Grays in March 2008.
Jake featured as a substitute in one Conference match for Grays but in June 2008 he was released by the club.
He started the 2008/09 campaign with Division 1 North outfit Cheshunt and Jake played in four league games there.
In October 2008 he rejoined Redbridge and Jake's second stint with the club saw him make a total of 16 appearances before the end of the 2008/09 season.
He couldn't find a club at the start of 2009/10 and after playing in a friendly for Kingstonian in September 2009 Jake signed for Margate in October 2009 as a free agent.
He made his debut in a 3-1 defeat at Wealdstone in the FA Trophy on 17.10.09 and after sitting out Margate's next game - an Isthmian League Premier Division match against Hastings on 7.11.09 - Jake returned to the side for a 1-0 win at VCD in the Isthmian League Cup on 10.11.09. It was his last outing and in December 2009 he was released.
After leaving Margate Jake joined Ware of Division 1 North but he didn't feature in their senior side and early in 2010 he left the club and dropped out of senior football.
Jake resurfaced in the summer of 2011 when he signed for Kingstonian and on 18.10.11 he was part of the K's side that lost 3-1 at Margate in an Isthmian League Cup tie. He only played twice for Kingstonian in the Premier Division during 2011/12.
In the summer of 2012 Jake featured in some friendlies for Walton & Hersham and was expected to sign for the club but in the end he started the 2012/13 campaign at Kingstonian once more.
In October 2012 he signed for Division 1 North outfit Waltham Abbey and Kingstonian's manager Alan Dowson told the K's official website "Jake played his part in the squad last season, but it's only fair that he has a shot at some first team football and I wish him well."
Jake went on to make 31 league appearances for Waltham Abbey before the end of the 2012/13 season.
At the end of January 2014 he left Waltham Abbey and signed for Maldon & Tiptree, also of Division 1 North.
