Lambeth-born player who began his career with Fulham, making his first appearances in their youth team during the 1963/64 campaign.
In 1968 Henry moved to Canada to join Vancouver Royals of the North American Soccer League (NASL) and made three appearances for the Royals before spending the remainder of the NASL season with San Diego Toros in the USA. He made 18 appearances for them during the 1968 campaign and scored three goals.
In March 1969 Henry joined Ipswich and he spent two years at Portman Road without making a first team appearance before leaving the club for a spell with Johannesburg Rangers in South Africa.
On his return to the UK in July 1971 he joined Gillingham. He made four first team appearances (two as a substitute) for the Gills early in the 1971/72 season but then left to play in South Africa once again. This time Henry linked up with Jewish Guild for a short spell.
When he returned to the UK in November 1971 Henry joined Margate on trial and made his debut on 24.11.71 in a 4-2 win at Ashford in the Kent Floodlight Cup. He turned in a good performance in midfield, impressing with his strength and passing ability. Henry went on to make a total of ten appearances but a nagging ankle injury hampered his performances and in January 1972 he was sent back to Gillingham who still held his registration. Margate manager Les Riggs said of Henry "I am sure if he had been fully fit he would have fitted the bill."
A month later Henry returned to South Africa once again and rejoined Johannesburg Rangers, he'd also featured twice for Dartford during the 1971/72 season.
Over the next few years up to 1975 Henry divided his time between playing in South Africa and turning out for Isthmian League club Molesey.
During the 1976/77 season he had a short spell with Woking before returning to Molesey for 1977/78 and in 1978 Henry also made a one-off appearance as a substitute for Hereford in the Football League.
Henry later returned to South Africa and during 1982 he had a spell as acting coach of Highlands Park where he also played a few games. Later that same year he became coach at his old club Johannesburg Rangers and Henry stayed in that role until 1984.
In the summer of 1986 Henry returned to England and had a brief spell in charge at his old club Molesey at the start of the 1986/87 season.
In 2004 he was still believed to be living in South Africa.
