After the war Eric had spells with Bexleyheath and Dartford before joining Gravesend & Northfleet for the 1948/49 season.
At the start of the 1949/50 campaign he had a trial with Hastings but Eric soon returned to Gravesend and stayed there until the summer of 1951.
His next move took him to Chatham and in April 1952 he signed for Margate.
Eric made two appearances before the end of the 1951/52 season, making his debut in a 1-0 win over Snowdown in a Kent League match at Hartsdown Park on 5.4.52. Eric then rejoined Bexleyheath & Welling and played for them during the 1953/54 season.
