Thanet-born amateur who played for Thanet United's reserves throughout the 1984/85 season and also made a one-off appearance for the first team. Dave wore the number 11 shirt as United went down 2-1 in an Eastern Floodlight Cup tie at Hastings on 7.3.85.
In the summer of 1985 he dropped back into local football and Dave won the Thanet and District League's 'Player of the Year' award for the 1986/87 season when he played for Whitnall & Dowling.
He later returned to Hartsdown Park, playing twice for Thanet's reserves during the 1988/89 season.
Dave was still playing locally for Hotel de Ville during the 1992/93 campaign.
In June 2011 he turned out for local club Park Rangers' veterans side.
