In the return game at Hartsdown Park on 18.10.94 he played up front and scored his first goal in a 2-2 draw. Daniel appeared as a substitute in Margate's next two matches but didn't feature in the first team again until 22.3.95 when he came on as a sub in a 2-0 defeat at Havant. On 4.4.95 he scored with what the Isle of Thanet Gazette called "a fine solo effort" after coming on in a 2-1 defeat at Witney, beating a defender before slotting home, and on 8.4.95 Daniel made his first start since 18.10.94 in the return game with Witney at Hartsdown. After that he was ever-present for the rest of the 1994/95 campaign, featuring in each of Margate's last nine games as a right winger or striker. On 22.4.95 Daniel scored in a 2-2 draw at Poole and the Gazette said he was "always a livewire up front" in a 2-0 win at Weston-Super-Mare on 2.5.95. He finished the season with a record of three goals from 17 appearances (five as sub).
Daniel stayed at Margate for the start of the 1995/96 campaign but after featuring in most of the club's pre-season friendlies he dropped back into the reserve and Under-18 sides. On 4.10.95 Daniel came on as a substitute in a 3-1 win at Sittingbourne in the Southern League Cup but it was his only first team appearance of the season and his last for Margate. On 15.10.95 he scored a hat-trick for the Under-18's in an 8-1 win at Aylesford Paper Mills and Daniel carried on playing for them and the reserves until March 1996 when he joined Gravesend & Northfleet.
After his spell at Gravesend Daniel dropped into local amateur football in the Medway area and during the 2007/08 season he was playing for a club called Pegasus in the Medway Messenger Sunday League.
Daniel's grandfather Ralph played Kent League football in the 1950's and his clubs included Luton who were a Chatham-based team.
