Younger brother of Malcolm Cook who had a spell with Motherwell before joining Margate in June 1967. Colin had already made a guest appearance for the club in Brian Hughes' Testimonial match against Gillingham on 1.5.67.
He became a regular member of Margate's reserve side during the 1967/68 season but only made one first team appearance as a substitute before departing.
