Hard working forward who joined Margate for the 1946/47 campaign and made his debut in a Kent League match against Gillingham Reserves at Hartsdown Park on 7.9.46. He scored twice in a 4-2 defeat and the goals were significant as they were the first two scored at home by the club in a competitive match after World War II.
He made five further sporadic appearances during the remainder of the season and scored twice more but spent much of the campaign in the reserves.
