Above: This is a postcard given to Les Fell by Almer Hall,
informing him that he had been selected at outside left for a Kent Senior Cup
tie against Tonbridge at Hartsdown on 26.2.55. Similar cards were sent to each
player. In the bottom left-hand corner Almer has written "Good win last week, we
must win this match against Tonbridge" and he has signed the card in the bottom
right-hand corner.

This one reads "Dear Les, you are playing at Chatham this week, kick off 2.45,
don't be late as I wish to talk to you all, as things are getting serious. You
must work harder Les, I must have hard working forwards and I intend to get
them, you have two others chasing you, so it's up to you if you wish to retain
your place. Keep working hard and I shall be satisfied with you. Cheerio for
now, best wishes Almer."
