He stayed with the club for the 2001/02 campaign and on 13.11.01 Aaron made his first team debut as a second half substitute as Margate beat Bromley 3-1 in a Kent Senior Cup tie at Hartsdown Park. It was his only senior appearance and Aaron then returned to the reserves for the remainder of the season.
Aaron spent the whole of 2002/03 in the reserves although he was an unused first team sub several times and in the summer of 2003 he joined Herne Bay.
Aaron then moved on to Deal for the start of the 2004/05 campaign but after making just three appearances for Deal (two as sub) he went back to Herne Bay in September 2004. He only played twice there before leaving the club and dropping into Sunday football in Thanet.
Aaron was still playing locally during the 2005/06 season and by then he was working for Charlton as part of their community coaching scheme.
He gained a Level 2 coaching badge and in the summer of 2006 Aaron became Ramsgate's Senior Youth Coach aged 23. He still carried on playing local football and by 2008 Aaron was running a soccer school based in Thanet. He also worked as a postman.
Aaron became Sittingbourne's coach for the 2008/09 campaign and then returned to Margate in the summer of 2009 to become the club's reserve team coach. He stepped down from that role in February 2010 but Aaron was still involved with coaching Margate's youngsters as part of his job as Margate's Community Programme Manager. In September 2010 Aaron left Margate altogether to concentrate on managing Gillingham Ladies' reserve team.
In July 2011 he was reported to have become assistant manager of Erith and Dartford Town who were founder members of the new Kent Invicta League but in the end Aaron didn't take up the position.
By the start of the 2011/12 season he was Gillingham Ladies' first team coach and in June 2012 Aaron became manager of Sittingbourne-based Kent County League Division 1 club Milton & Fulston United.
At the end of January 2013 he stepped down as Milton & Fulston's manager citing family and work commitments but Aaron later resumed his duties before leaving the club in August 2013. He also played in the Thanet Sunday Football League during 2013/14.
In June 2014 Aaron was appointed as manager of Kent County League Premier Division club Tudor Sports and told the Kentish Football website "It will be an interesting challenge. I've had a year out to be with the family and the baby, I've just had a little boy whose five months old. The job came up and we sat and spoke about it. I wasn't really looking for a specific job, but after speaking to the chairman, he spoke well about the club and where he wants to go with the club and we're excited about the new challenge."
