Also played for: Gillingham (0), Lordswood, Chatham Town, Maidstone United, Hythe Town, Faversham Town and Tunbridge Wells

Chatham-born full-back with a prodigious long throw who was on Gillingham's books as a youth before having spells with Lordswood and then Chatham where he spent the 2002/03 season.

Aaron joined Kent League outfit Maidstone for the 2003/04 campaign and went on to make 254 appearances as they progressed up the non-league pyramid by winning the Kent League during 2005/06 and then the Isthmian League Division 1 South title the following season to reach the Premier Division. He worked as a tarmac layer at that time. Aaron finally left Maidstone in February 2009 to sign for Margate and the Stones joint manager Alan Walker told the club's official website "Aaron has been a great servant to the Stones and his throw ins definitely got us out of the Kent League and probably out of Ryman One as well."

He made his debut at right-back as Margate drew 1-1 at Hastings in an Isthmian League Premier Division game on 14.2.09 and Aaron then played once more in the number two shirt before moving into midfield for a 2-0 defeat at Wealdstone on 28.2.09. In his next outing - a 4-0 win at Canvey Island on 3.3.09 - Aaron scored when his free-kick from the right-hand touchline sailed into the net due to the windy conditions.

He was ever-present in midfield for the remainder of the season and in its report on a 3-1 win over Billericay at Hartsdown Park on 28.3.09 the Thanet Times said Aaron "worked his socks off and showed he has far more about him than the long throw he's always known for". He finished 2008/09 having scored once from 13 outings as Margate finished in the Premier Division relegation zone but avoided the drop.

On the eve of the 2009/10 campaign manager Terry Yorath told the Isle of Thanet Gazette "I see Aaron as a first-team squad player. I won't put him in the team just for his throw-in - there has to be a reason for him to be there other than that."

Aaron made his first appearance of the new season on 28.7.09 when he wore the number seven shirt in a 1-0 win over Ramsgate at Hartsdown Park in the first leg of a tie played for the Isle of Thanet Gazette Cup. He also featured in the second leg at Ramsgate on 1.8.09 - a 1-1 draw - but on 15.8.09 Aaron was sent off in the first half of a 4-0 defeat at Sutton on the opening day of the Isthmian League Premier Division campaign. He was dismissed for swearing at a linesman and Terry Yorath told the Thanet Times "He'll be punished for it and the consequences could be dire for him."

After one more outing in midfield Aaron missed two games due to suspension and when he returned for a trip to Ashford (Middlesex) on 5.9.09 he lined up as a right wing-back. The match ended in a 2-2 draw and from then on Aaron was a fixture in the number two shirt. In its report on a 3-1 home defeat against Horsham on 19.9.09 the Thanet Times said he was Margate's best player because "at least he gave it a go " and the Isle of Thanet Gazette said he slung "crosses in all night" during a 2-1 win over Hendon at Wembley FC on 22.9.09.

Aaron continued to win praise from the local press in the weeks that followed and the Thanet Times said he "impressed with his workrate again" during a 2-1 win over Kingstonian at Hartsdown Park on 3.10.09.

On 6.2.10 Aaron was sent off again 59 minutes into a home game against Hendon after handling on the line and at the time Margate were winning 2-0. The visitors scored from the resulting penalty and went on to win 3-2. Manager Mark Butler told the Thanet Times "It's instinct from Lacy but it's a poor decision. Even if they'd scored the header, we'd have kept 11 men on the park and, with the way we were playing, who's to say we wouldn't have gone on to score more goals."

After a 3-1 home defeat against Billericay on 16.2.10 Aaron served a two match ban before returning to action in a 3-0 defeat against Waltham Abbey at Hartsdown Park on 6.3.10. He only missed one more match before the end of the season.

In its report on a 1-1 draw with visitors Sutton on 16.3.10 the Isle of Thanet Gazette praised Aaron for "another committed display down the right" and his long throw led to Margate's goal for Leroy Huggins. The paper wrote "he's the only player around who can arrow the ball in fast and flat, like Rory Delap, and Blues really should make more of it". Aaron finished the campaign having made 45 appearances (two as sub) without scoring as Margate avoided relegation for the second season in a row despite finishing in the drop zone. He also won the club's 'Players' Player of the Year' award.

A few days before the start of the 2010/11 campaign manager Iain O'Connell spoke to the Isle of Thanet Gazette about Aaron and said "Has a great throw and he's a good defender too. Pikey, as the lads call him, has done so well that all his family have come to watch him training at Mote Park."

Aaron made his first appearance of the new Isthmian League Premier Division season in a 2-2 draw with Canvey Island at Hartsdown Park on 21.8.10 and he was a regular in the right wing-back slot after that. The Thanet Times said his "awesome long throws led to three goals" in a 6-1 home win over Horsham on 9.10.10 and the paper then said Aaron "had a good game down the right and set up another three goals" in its report on a 5-1 win over visitors Whitehawk in the FA Trophy on 16.10.10. Once again his three 'assists' were the result of long throw-ins.

Having been virtually ever-present Aaron was substituted just before half-time of a 2-0 home defeat against Folkestone on 23.11.10 and the Isle of Thanet Gazette said he'd been "made to look a right clown by flying Invicta ace Josh Burchell who embarrassed him again and again". The paper said Aaron "was at fault for both Invicta goals and had lost the plot by the time Iain O'Connell decided enough was enough and hooked him three minutes before the break, replacing him with young Kane Harrington". Aaron then missed Margate's next two matches.

He returned to the number two shirt in a 2-0 win over Maidstone at Ashford on 3.1.11 and Aaron then featured in four of the next five matches, once as a substitute, but after he'd started in a 1-1 draw against Hendon at Hartsdown Park on 25.1.11 Aaron missed four games due to injury.

He was back in action on 12.2.11 when he came on as a sub in a 1-1 draw with Horsham at Horsham YMCA and Aaron then played regularly again for the remainder of the campaign, sometimes featuring in midfield. On 30.4.11 he made his last appearance for Margate in a 3-3 draw with visitors Kingstonian and at the end of the season Aaron was released by new manager Chris Kinnear having played 39 times (twice as sub) without scoring during 2010/11.

In May 2011 he signed for Isthmian League Division 1 South newcomers Hythe and their manager Scott Porter told the Kentish Football website "He's proven in the Ryman (League) and he's a top bloke...he's a winner, a battler and he's a talker." Meanwhile Chris Kinnear told the Your Thanet site "I had a chat with Aaron, I couldn't do anything for him and he went to Hythe. I did release him but there's not a problem, he seemed like a decent fellow. I made the decision but he had a couple of other clubs interested in him. I told him there was nothing I could really do for him, but he said 'it's alright, I've got a couple of options' and he went for Hythe."

Aaron went on to make 35 league appearances (one as sub) without scoring for Hythe during 2011/12 and was part of the side that beat Dartford 1-0 to win the Kent Senior Cup.

In June 2012 he moved on to Faversham and Aaron played a key role as they reached the final of the Division 1 South play-offs before losing to Maidstone. In total he made 26 league appearances and scored once. Aaron stayed with Faversham for the 2013/14 campaign too and captained the side during the season.

In May 2014 he dropped down to the Southern Counties East Football League to join Tunbridge Wells and Faversham manager Ray Turner said "I would like to place on record my thanks to Aaron for his two years' service as club captain. It was the right move for him, at the right time for both of us. Aaron was fully aware of my plans for the coming season and that I would be looking to freshen the squad up. He has informed me of his decision in the right way and he goes with my blessing and thanks. Aaron came to the club and did exactly what I asked him to do. He was a leader in the dressing room and on the pitch and raised the profile of the club significantly. We have had two good years together. The club has gone from strength to strength, finishing the 2013 season in its highest league position in its history. Aaron was an integral part of that success. In this day of Twitter and social network sites it makes a nice change for a player to leave in the right way which is the way it should be done. He has done his job and now it's time for me to take the team on with some different players. He has a great respect for everyone at the club and he will be down before the season starts to say his goodbyes in person. I know he would like to return to the club one day in a different capacity but for now he remains focused on playing. Tunbridge Wells will get a fully committed leader both on and off the pitch and he will be asset in their pursuit of Ryman football. The move will suit both Aaron's work and family commitments and all at Faversham Town wish him well with his new club."
