On Saturday 3rd May 1930 Margate FC held an end of season dinner & dance at the Queen's Highcliffe Hotel in Cliftonville to celebrate the end of a successful campaign (the first playing at Hartsdown Park) in which Margate reached the 2nd Round of the FA Cup and were runners-up in both the Kent League and Kent Senior Cup.
